Join a diabetes support group
A person with diabetes, who has a loving family and friends who support their battle, may still feel misunderstood or patronized by well-meaning loved ones. It is important for them to join in a group who intimately knows the suffering they feel. When a person receives advice from someone who does not suffer from the disease, it cannot be helped and they may resent it. However, if it came from someone who is also suffering from diabetes, they will accept that advice graciously.
