Marijuana’s Role in Cancer Treatment

Marijuana and cancer patients

Some studies have already been completed to track the effects of marijuana on cancer patients. When smoked, researchers have found that marijuana can relieve nausea and vomiting that occurs as a side effect of chemotherapy, and even increase patients’ appetites. Marijuana that’s inhaled can also help with neuropathic pain that is caused by nerve damage from cancer. In addition to relieving nausea and pain, many cancer patients who use marijuana also noted that they take the drug to help relieve psychological symptoms such as stress, anxiety, and depression.
