Not having support
Chronic conditions such as RA can be difficult to cope with. There is no shame in needing help from others. Often times people will not prioritize getting outside help. This can leave them in an overwhelming situation without much support. Talk with your friends and family. Be clear with them about how they can best support you. Seek counseling if you think you may need it. Sometimes we all need that objective person to bounce things off of. Joining support groups or getting involved in raising awareness can be a great way to meet other people coping with similar situations. This can all help you manage the stress and emotions that come along with coping with a chronic illness.
