Unlike with RRMS, patients who have PPMS will have a constant onslaught of symptoms from the moment the first symptoms appeared, without any periods of remission. Also from the first sign of symptoms, the disease will continue to progress. There may be occasions in which the patient seems stable or the disease is inactive, but over time the disease will continue to progress.
