Music Therapy: How Music Aids in the Treatment for Parkinson's Disease

Music therapy is not a cure, but it can help

Though there is no treatment for Parkinson’s disease yet, it can be seen that music therapy is a very effective treatment method in its own right. Sure, it won’t cure the disease, but it will slowly help the patient regain some of his or her motor skills. It will also help build the patient’s confidence again and make him or her happier. Since music therapy has positive effects on both the mental and the physical state of the body, it is definitely something that should be looked into.

With more research on Parkinson’s disease, there is now more hope for the people who have the condition. If more efforts can be put into music therapy for Parkinson’s disease, it is possible to see a lot more patients who have lesser symptoms and happier lives.
