Because of that event, the class received a lot of interest and attention with more patients wanting to join. Through this, she collaborated with the Iowa State Extension and Outreach to make a DVD to help others who want to learn music therapy. Through her partnership with a specialist, David Brown, they were able to make an eight-week training module. Today, her training program has already reached several countries.
Aside from providing music therapy trading modules, she is also continuing her research on music therapy. Stegemoller also delves into how music can directly affect the mood and mental condition of a patient with her partner Marian Kohut, another professor of kinesiology. Her research is also funded by the GRAMMY Foundation.
