Keep In Mind
Natural disasters are a time of stress because no one knows just how everything will turn out, if loved ones will be safe or property will be intact. Stress can cause not only the body’s glucose levels to spike, but will lead to flares of secondary symptoms such as depression and high blood pressure. So, it’s in one's best interest to keep the level to a minimum by doing whatever will accomplish that. But worry is not the only thing that will get stress levels elevated, boredom can do that as well. So when packing that emergency kit, don’t forget to include forms of entertainment to wait the storm, blizzard or hurricane out.
