Early stage disease is more common in younger patients
Though the research is far from finished, the team has already discovered some interesting data trends. One is the age of diagnosis. For a long time, people noted that advanced age might be a poor prognostic factor. However, it turns out that this may not be exactly the case. Perhaps it’s simply due to the fact that advanced disease is more commonly found in the elderly. The researchers noticed that patients who are diagnosed early tend to be younger.
