Why is it so hard to find the best treatment for this lymphoma?
One of the biggest challenges in developing a good treatment is the few number of patients that actually have this disease. There are so many different treatments available, and no good way to tell which ones are better than the others. On top of that, it’s likely that different patients benefit most from individualized therapies. However, how can we know what characteristics to look for in a patient and how this may affect their treatment response? Before we can answer this question, we need more studies, which is limited by the very fact that there aren’t that many patients to begin with.
