Organizations Give Gifts to Boost Morale of Cancer Patients

Subaru of America and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society teamed up to help out the Christus Spohn Cancer Center in Santa Fe. With them, they brought blankets and craft kits, so patients could be warm and have something fun to do while receiving their chemotherapy.
Heather Wade, Director of Oncology at the cancer center, explained the thoughtfulness and success of this gift, "some of them [cancer patients] sit here many hours every day and you know it gets a little chilly. So, they can bring those blankets with them every day, just have a little bit of warmth and hopefully not only warmth but comfort knowing that others across the nation are thinking about them."
