How marijuana helped Alex Beck's cancer

Alex Beck was in his early twenties when he received a diagnosis of stage III lymphoma. He then started taking Rituximab, a chemotherapy drug that was causing him to experience severe side effects. Rituximab was making no progress in treating his cancer, so Beck turned to holistic medicine. He reached out to a Facebook group called ‘The Medicine Tribe’ and the organization raised 3000 dollars to send Beck to Colorado where he stopped undergoing chemotherapy and started using medical marijuana as his sole attempt to cure his cancer.

Two years later, Beck remains cancer-free. “The doctors said that there is absolutely no reason, with the little amount of chemotherapy I received, that I should still be in remission … I should have malignant tumors, but my PET scan showed no signs of disease,” he commented.
