The legal issue is paradoxical, but progress is being made

It is a rather paradoxical situation because the federal government is demanding scientific evidence to prove that marijuana has medical potential, yet its restrictions are making it difficult to conduct thorough studies.
There has been some clinical research which has shown that medical marijuana has been able to kill cancer cells in laboratory tests; however, it has not been approved by the FDA as a treatment for cancer. While the verdict is out on whether or not marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes, it may help patients coping with lymphoma.
