Living with Muscular Dystrophy
This form of disease is studied by researchers all over the globe, with new strides being made each year. While some symptoms might seem commonplace for other issues at first, staying up to date on new symptoms is suggested for the caregiver and for those who are able to make healthcare decisions for themselves. In children, this can involve many different types of symptoms and body changes. The ability to get up off of the floor may be a first sign before the breathing issues even take place. The child might instead use their hands to walk and use types of furniture or another solid base to stand upon.
