Promising 'Stop Switch' Discovered that Could Stop Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in its Tracks

The future of this discovery

The medication almost seems like a science fiction fantasy, but we aren't actually all that far off from having it. There are other medications of this type that already exist to fight other forms of cancer. Since the technology appears to already exist, it shouldn't be too long before we can harness this knowledge to help people who have T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It may even be possible to take some of these medications meant for other forms of cancer, and consider their use for a patient with T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. However, scientists warn that this would require extreme care on the part of the physician, and the unique characteristics of each individual's tumor would have to be considered.
