The negative effects of alcohol on the body

Alcohol is a drug. It can cause addiction so severe that people lose everything they’ve ever loved, including their home and even their families. It can destroy someone's liver until the point of no recovery save an entire solid organ transplantation. Besides the obvious toxicities, even moderate levels of drinking have been associated with higher risk of high blood pressure, obesity, stroke, and breast cancer. Most people are familiar with the adverse health effects of drinking alcohol. The facts infiltrate the news and media as well as our own doctor’s offices.

People can even die from drinking too much, from poisoning themselves until their bodies cannot deal with the toxins fast enough. They also can die when they get in accidents due to their inebriated state. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that 28 people die every day due to the involvement of a drunk driver.
