Should a History of Cancer Be Considered a Workplace Disability?

Harassment must be prevented

Sometimes you the employer are doing a good job of accommodating an everyday superhero, but the other employees are harassing this employee. You should make it clear that harassing behavior is not acceptable in the workplace and, if necessary, take corrective action against the problematic employees.

Note that teasing is not always harassment. Some cancer survivors get through their fight with the disease by making fun of their own diagnosis! As long as the humor does not cross the line into hostile, it can be a good thing.
