Research looks promising
The research team is very excited about their new findings, which have since been published in the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. They are now continuing their work by investigating further studies, looking closely at the genetics in patients who have severe as well as mild presentations of cystic fibrosis. They hope to find more differences that could potentially lead to new, life-changing drugs.
