Study Links Rheumatoid Arthritis and Huntington’s Disease

Huntington’s is not considered to be an immune disease, but rather it is classified as a neurodegenerative disorder. A few researchers have suggested that it may be autoimmune in nature, although further research needs to be conducted before deriving to any definitive conclusions. The recent link between the epigenetic origins of RA and Huntington’s disease may promote more research on the subject and yield more targeted therapies and precision medicine.
