Where does survivor's guilt come from?

Along with PTSD came her experience with survivor’s guilt. Survivor’s guilt is a mental condition or guilt that occurs when an individual believes they have done something wrong by surviving a traumatic event when others have not. It is accompanied by a set of emotions – joy, gratitude, sadness, relief, sense of purpose and a responsibility to live life to the fullest.
