In order to keep from unhealthy snacking, keep diabetes specific snacks in the car or your bag. Feel free to find other diabetes-friendly snacks and hide them in your desk drawer. This way, you will feel less tempted to go buy something unhealthy because there is always a healthier snack within reach.

The internet is a hotbed for contradicting opinions and stories about drinking as a person with diabetes. The safest way to go about it is to talk to your doctor directly. Your doctor knows best and has knowledge about your medical history, so he or she can give you the best advice.
Additionally, make sure you are communicating with your doctor about your medicine and your self-care regiment regularly. You two are a team and you should keep them in the loop as much as you possibly can. The more informed they are, the more they can help you.
