More about cancer

Cancer is referred to a group of related diseases. It starts when the cells in the body begin to grow and divide abnormally. It can occur in any area of the body and even spread to other tissue or organs. When cancer cells spread, this is known as metastasis. Cancers are named after the area of the body in which they begin. For instance, a cancer that begins in the lungs is known as lung cancer. Although it can spread to the bones, it is not named bone cancer unless its area of origin started in the bones. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
