Teen Fighting Lymphoma Has Prom of Her Dreams with Wig of Friend’s Hair

Her overwhelmingly positive experience has been a huge help on her cancer journey

White repeatedly expressed her gratitude toward Smith and all those who helped her prom dream come true. “I loved my hair. The hardest part for me was losing it. So, knowing that she did that, she did this for me, is really, really special,” she said.
With prom just around the corner, White spent the week getting her nails, makeup, and hair done at The Spa on West Main – the very same location where Smith had her hair cut the month before. Smith’s selfless act prompted DeMario, who also operates a women’s clothing store called Lux Boutique, to donate a prom dress to White – one of her own choosing. “Prom dresses are very expensive, and I really just wanted to be a part of her journey, to let her know that people are rooting for her,” said DeMario.
