The Annual Chase Anderson RoundUp Rodeo Honors Teens with Muscular Dystrophy

The MDA's goals: Cure, care and champion

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) aims to help patients with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and other neuromuscular diseases by funding research.   The organization also aims to empower the families with muscular dystrophy and ALS by providing local services and support.

MDA is utilizing the funds they raise to achieve the following goals by the year 2020:

  • Cure: The MDA aims to double their research investments on the development of drugs and clinical trials to discover new treatments (and hopefully a cure).
  • Care: The association also aims to provide support and care for 50,000 more families. This figure is 50 percent more than the number of families that are currently registered with MDA.
  • Champion: The MDA also aims to fund 20,000 children at the MDA Summer Camp so that their families won’t have to pay for anything as the association expands their offering for young adults.
