Signs of caregiver stress are:

  • Poor attention and memory
  • Confusion
  • Feelings of alienation or hopelessness

These signs are not all-encompassing, and it’s important to recognize anything that seems out of the ordinary with your body. It is easy to get lost in the routine of things as a caregiver, constantly pushing feelings aside and putting your emotions on the back burner. If caregiving is getting in the way of a caregivers own ability to stay healthy, it might be time to ask for help from family, friends, or another professional.
