The Correlation Between Cigarettes and Multiple Sclerosis

New research

For people who suffer from multiple sclerosis, cigarettes have an incredibly substantial impact on the body. As one of the most common neurological disorders in the world, there is still much speculation on the cause or factors associated with the disease. Many sufferers are diagnosed without having a family history, and genetics has for the most part been ruled out as a significant risk factor. One factor that has been proven to have a negative impact on the disease is cigarettes. A study done by the University of Regina found that multiple sclerosis is not only exacerbated by cigarettes, but it also puts a healthy person at risk of developing the disease.
