The Emotional Rollercoaster of Alzheimer's Disease
Focusing on the positive
Seeing the patient happy and with their day-to-day activities can be the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling at the end of the day. Many caregivers tend to overlook this and focus only on the ugly parts of the disease.
It can take a while for the patients to follow their routine, like taking their medication or exercising. At times, this can get really frustrating, but when they finally agree on doing something they previously hated, this is an accomplishment that should definitely be celebrated.
