How to stay ahead of those negative emotions?
Probably one of the most important things that anyone can do when dealing with the intense emotions that come with having a disease like diabetes is to talk about it. It doesn’t matter if the emotions that are running through the mind are happy or sad or angry or frustrated, simply talking about them will make it easier to manage them. Talking about those emotions also means that they are not being ignored or shoved deep down inside in the hopes that they will go away. They won’t, at least not without a bit of help.
