A gluten-free diet is still the only treatment for celiac disease
A variety of treatments exist that can help to combat the most common symptoms of the disease, with one of the main approaches being a strict gluten-free diet. In addition to this, different mineral supplements and vitamins can be taken in order to compensate for any deficiencies that are caused from the condition. These include calcium, folate, iron, vitamin B-12, vitamin D, vitamin K, and zinc. In cases where such vitamins and supplements are not reacting well (as they are commonly in pill form), doctors will suggest administration via injection.
