The Final Count of Celiac Disease Symptoms Is Mind-Boggling

Serology and genetic testing can be used to diagnose celiac disease

When diagnosing the disease, doctors will conduct two different types of blood tests, known as serology testing and genetic testing.  If these tests prove to show signs of the autoimmune disease, doctors will then proceed to have an endoscopy of the small intestine. This is also paired with taking a tissue sample in order to assess the condition of the villi (the part of the intestine responsible for taking in nutrients from food).
