The Impact of Stress on Lymphoma

Stressors can magnify lymphoma's complications

Stressors can magnify lymphoma's complications

When dealing with lymphoma, you already are in danger of suffering from many issues. Any blood cancer is going to deal damage to your immune system, and will make you more susceptible to illnesses. The overwhelming amount of drugs, radiation or chemotherapy you may be subjected to will only further inhibit your body’s natural ability to fight sickness, or have energy. It also often makes you excessively tired, causes a loss in appetite or/and an increase in nauseousness and will often lead to headaches, sleeping issues – and yes, even increased anxiety. Obviously stressors in the body on top of this can only magnify these issues and cause people with lymphoma to feel overwhelmed with anxiety and depression.
