How Patients Can Help Themselves Love Themselves
Often identifying a problem is the first, and biggest, step in solving said problem. Admitting to oneself that self-esteem is an issue, or that self-care and self-love has not been a priority and it is negatively effecting the patient, is huge. Now the next step is to figure out what to do.
Living in a capitalist society has the potential to make people feel as if they are somehow worth less if they do not make a lot of money. Unfortunately, many patients with chronic illness have trouble maintaining jobs that pay a tremendous amount of money. Luckily, self-love and self-care are vital practices that can be done with limited funds.
