Items like yeast, sugar, flour, white bread, some carbs, and heavy starches have been shown to increase inflammation. These triggers can lead to uncomfortable feelings throughout the entire body, leading to increased negative feelings and bloating. With a higher sugar intake, boosting blood sugar levels only to drop back down is harmful to long term health. Carbs are not always unhealthy in all forms and are not generally associated with as harmful effects as sugary foods. Limiting the amount of unhealthy carbs could lead to decreased bloating and pain around the pelvic region.
