Put quality above quantity

In this day and age, many people conflate quality and quantity in varying areas in their lives. However, it is important to focus on the quality in every aspect - especially in your relationships. It doesn't really matter if you have thousands of Facebook friends, or millions of Instagram followers. What matters is the people that will be there for you when you need them, and whose company you enjoy.

Not only will focusing on the quality in your relationships will make you happier, but it could make you healthier. A Harvard study analyzed participants' health in relation to relationship satisfaction showed that aging well and maintaining your health is directly impacted by the value relationships add to our lives.

Good relationships have also shown to protect peoples' brain functions, as stimulating conversation and the knowledge of love and comfort can keep people sharp for a longer period of time.
