Hannah: Self-confidence is very important when it comes to sex
Often times, a woman’s inability to reach a sexual climax is due to a psychological block rather than a physical hindrance. For 25-year-old Hannah, her childhood upbringing has definitely played a role in leaving her without an orgasm. Attending a very strict religious school, Hannah was taught that sex should only be with the man one loved and married, with the intent that it would produce a baby. She knew very little about the female reproductive system, barely aware of the existence of a clitoris, let alone its importance during sex. That, coupled with other personal issues led to an overall lack of self-confidence that has affected her sex life ever since. The negative connotation ingrained in her since early childhood has proven to be a major mental block for Hannah, who finds herself unable to achieve an orgasm. Her case displays the influence our emotions can have over our physical pleasure.
