Finding a support system
Even the most caring person will need somebody to help them get through the toughest situation. This is when finding a support system is important. Friends and families are a good starting point to help patients manage their feelings and dealing with stress. They could also be there for an emergency when you can't. Finding friends who understand you is important, but finding someone who understand your loved one's feelings is also necessary.
Other than friends and families, there are support groups that could offer not only the stress management side but could also give some more information about dealing with the disease on a daily basis. One of these is the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association. They have a local support group in every state, and they also give seminars on patient stories that might help in getting more information about this disease.
