Small lumps that are hard to pass? You might be dehydrated
Some people describe it as rabbit poop. It causes straining to eliminate and doesn’t feel like you’re done. Generally this means you are not hydrated. Make sure you drink at least 6 cups of plain water daily and add in lots of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
Often, new medication can cause constipation; in particular, narcotics can slow things down to a literal crawl. Even something as simple as Benadryl can dry out your bowels.
If it’s not your diet or medication, your physician will need to make sure the muscles in the rectum are working or see if there is a narrowing of the colon from a tumor or polyp.
Considered: Moderate to Severe Constipation
