Corticosteroids don't influence long-term results
Evidence shows that corticosteroids have been used to control MS relapses for years and years. Yet, treatment cannot foresee the occurrence or severity of future relapses or disability progression. Every doctor’s goal in prescribing corticosteroids is to help you cope with MS relapses, especially if they are interfering with your everyday activities. Corticosteroids act by helping you recover from the attacks; however, they do not influence the long-term course of your MS.
