The researchers observed the 30 patients with systemic arthritis and compared them to the 43 patients with Lyme arthritis. They found 15 cases of RA, 13 cases of psoriatic arthritis, and 2 cases of spondyloarthritis. In comparison to the patients with Lyme arthritis, this group was more advanced in age, more likely to have shown early symptoms of Lyme disease, as well as more likely to have a family history of autoimmune disorders.
