Colleen's comeback is one of a kind
Coach Weise says that in the 20 years he had been working with the Michigan State rowing program, Colleen is the first athlete to return to the team after a diagnosis of cancer. Weise says that her comeback has never made him feel prouder. As a coach, it makes him brim with happiness to watch Colleen's incredible comeback after fighting such a serious illness. With every passing day, her determination and resolve have helped her get faster and more confident - helping her bury Hodgkin's in the past and live on with her life cancer-free.
