Young Girl Overcomes Crohn's to Run Marathons

At age 12, Esther Hirsch was tiny for her age. Underdeveloped and scrawny, doctors told her that she had a growth deficiency. She received treatment for this but for some reason never got any better with the medications. Not only was she underweight and scrawny, but she also had no appetite. She would also get stomach pains and suffered from frequent diarrhea.
