Planning with Fibromyalgia
Planning is important for people who have fibromyalgia.
- Choose a time for important tasks: plan your day in a manner that you do all the important and difficult task at the time of the day when you feel best. Be it in the morning or in the evening after a nap.
- Use lists and reminders: you can use the technology to your benefit. One can install personal planner in any smart phone, just go through the various apps and then stick to something that you find more comfortable to use.
- Avoid multi-tasking: this is the golden rule of doing things well in any disease condition where your physical or mental ability is compromised. So prioritize the tasks, and do them one by one. Avoid any distractions while doing the tasks. Further cut down on your sensory load, do not use too many gadgets, they may just contribute to the fogginess.
