A Canadian Bookstore Is Run Entirely by People With Autism

The bookstore’s original vision came from a student

The bookstore was actually an idea that originally came from a student. This student’s vision was a store that was run by his own peers. He imagined this would be a unique place where his friends can not only learn valuable skills but also provide a beneficial service to the local community.

The project allowed autistic young people to learn valuable business skills.

Young adults with autism weren’t just employees either. They had an important part in the planning part of the business as well. This is the first entrepreneurial project run and organized by people with autism in the province of New Brunswick.
