10 Celebrities Identified as Pansexual

10 Celebrities Identified as Pansexual

What is pansexual?

Pansexual falls under the umbrella of bisexuality, but it actually reflects people who form a romantic, sexual, emotional, spiritual, or physical attraction to people regardless of their sexual expression and specific gender identity. A pansexual feels that gender is nothing but something that the society has constructed, and a fluid experience is their way to move through the sexuality spectrum. When pansexuals are in a romantic relationship, gender does not matter to them since they get attracted to all other possible identities aside from gender.

Bisexuals and pansexuals may seem similar because of how they feel. Bisexuals may often feel like pansexuals, but pansexuals are also attracted to genderqueer, trans people, gender non-conforming, and cisgender men and women.

The longstanding definitions and categories in terms of sexuality and gender roles are quickly changing. Many were identified as gay or straight, but now, more classifications are being identified, and they are becoming common. The sexual choice of a pansexual is not limited. They can get into relationships without considering the biological sex or gender identity of people.

When celebrities are re-identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or even pansexual, they tend to become even greater since they break down the barriers. Below are some of the celebrities you had no clue were pansexuals:

Misconceptions Related to Pansexuality

The term bisexuality is broadened by the term pansexuality. Bisexuality is when a romantic attraction is felt to more than one gender. However, bisexuality has its own stigma. There are also other misconceptions that are associated with pansexuality. They include objectophilia, bestiality, paraphilia, and pedophilia. However, this is not true, and it is very wrong to believe that just because a person does not show importance to gender, it automatically means that they would also be interested in a car engine or a deer.

Another belief is that you are no longer a pansexual if you date a homosexual cis gender person monogamously. This also is incorrect because of two reasons. The first one is that pansexuals like all gender identities, and secondly, their sexual identity is not based on who they date or who they do not currently date.

Pansexuals are people who are identified as capable to fall in love with someone regardless of gender and sex. It does not mean that they like all people they meet since pansexuals also have physical preferences. The term pansexual is used when referring to fluidity and openness to all people and genders.
