These Celebrity Athletes Have Fought Crohn's Disease

The L.A. Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. is another individual who is battling Crohn’s disease. He recently came forward about his disease in an article for The Cauldron. In his article he discussed how he takes prednisone, a steroid medication, as well as Remicade, which is an immunomodulator. While he is now in remission, he has had Crohn’s disease for the past 8 years. By coming forward publicly about his condition he is raising awareness and showing other young aspiring athletes that nothing can hold them back. Additionally, by talking about his medication regimen, he is encouraging other people to follow their treatment plans.
