How to Build Mobility Confidence with Parkinson's Disease

Do Activities as a Family

Part of the emotional distress of Parkinson’s is that patients can feel alone and as if they’re trapped in the sphere of the disease. Family members can help with that by taking walks with them. Let the patient setting the pace, offering assistance if they need it if tremors arise. Choose a path that is free of obstacles and as level as possible, and or one that the patient has previously used. If that isn’t try to schedule activities such as gardening around the home and make them a part of the daily routine.
