Although many, like Blahovec, are initially skeptical about seeking help from therapists or psychologists, Blahovec found someone who would listen, help her understand the way that her mind was working, help her to redirect and cope with her thoughts, and stick with her through the long process of pulling out of depression for good. Though she was able to pull out of her life-threatening depression in about a month, she continues to meet with her therapist to this day, and recommends the same to anyone seeking to defeat depression in their lives.
