Focus on what you can control
Even if you offer the best care possible in the world, cystic fibrosis can still cause problems for your loved one. When something happens and causes distress, pause for a moment. Is this something which you can or cannot control?
If it is something over which you have no control, then do not let it add to your stress. Instead, focus on things which you can control. Being in control helps you manage stress, while being out-of-control adds to it. So, focus only on things you are capable of affecting.
