Moving forward and embracing life
Isabel stressed how fortunate she and her sister were to have access to medical care that allowed them to live full lives. She is also grateful to their intellectual, emotional, and spiritual resources. “I give thanks that Ana left me when I was ready—when I had the maturity, faith, and emotional stability to survive on my own. Working as a bereavement counselor in hospice has eased my grief and reminded me that I am simply living the human condition. What an adventure” she said.
