15 Famous People Faced with the Pain of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

John F. Kennedy

Another one of our presidents had IBD. While the type of IBD was never officially diagnosed, reviews of his medical records indicate that President Kennedy was most likely battling UC. Some of the reports show that he may have been diagnosed as a child, and he spent a large portion of his life taking antispasmodic drugs to control his diarrhea. The diagnosis was unclear, and it is possible that he had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), but either way, knowing that he struggled can help other people with IBD or IBS know that they can still accomplish great things despite their struggles.
