Scott spent 100 days out of one year in the hospital and with his wife by his side almost the whole time. It is a testament to Sue as a mother that their boy’s teachers were to have said they wouldn’t have known anything was wrong at home from how the boys behaved and were performing in school during the time of their father’s illness. How things must have looked from his boy’s perspectives, Scott says he’ll probably never really know.
